St. Croix Scenic River Staircases

This project is approximately five miles north of the Taylor's Falls side of the St. Croix Scenic River. JKP Inc designed and implemented micro pile, steel, fiber grating and cable railing to give the National Park Service serviceable stair access to the St. Croix River. The bottom stringers lift in the Fall so that the ice does not damage the stairs and then lowered again in the Spring.

The George Morrison Memorial in Grand Marias, MN.

This memorial was designed by Aune Fernandez Landscape Architects and the concrete and stonework was done by Global Specialties. We completed the wood, steel and glass work. Stop by and enjoy Lake Superior will sitting at this beautiful memorial.

Bloomington Spiral

This spiral was designed by the City of Bloomington in one of their outdoor gardens. There are vines that will eventually grow through the spiral. The spiral is made from core-ten steel with a 3" stainless steel element on the outside.

Having our fabrication facility in the country in Northwestern Wisconsin, bears became an issue so, problem solved! This dumpster enclosure was built to eliminate the bear nuisance problem.

Mankato State Tunnel Project

Here is a custom concrete form system that we made to overcome the difficult soil and site conditions at Mankato State University. The end result was a fully functional and structurally sound tunnel between the two buildings. After the concrete work was finished, we faced the tunnel with 1/4" coreten plate.

Minnesota Fallen FireFighters Memorial

This memorial is dedicated to all the Minnesota Fire Fighters who have died in the line of duty. Each post represents a year and the names of those that gave the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty in that year. The process started with pouring a base slab and having 400 anchor bolts to secure the memorial. The memorial was constructed out of coreten pipe and 1/4" coreten steel. The oculus is stainless steel and polished to a #8 mirror finish.

We used 1/2" core ten for the main body of the memorial. It was trimmed with 1/2" x 3" stainless steel. The main memorial was set on helical piles. We used the same procedure for the Historic Trail sign.
